Yetipunk Wrote:Namin?'s imagination will soon have memories of hunters stunlocking galions killing them for 50k exp without even trying. Just another point and click monster but gives more exp then a Ancient Mummy.
All the melee classes probably said the same thing about geographers too back then... Just like how all the other classes may have whined about Ancient Mummy totally skewing the speed of training for Priests with Turn Undead (especially if reset function is present in heRO, but at least reset in heRO costs a fortune) and using the fact that on iRO, it is TU Priests that hit 99 faster than any other classes to solo against them~
Namine personally just see it as relatively minor point... It has always been part of RO, regardless of server, that has some classes having an easier time to train than another... Namine does not really mind the speed of leveling by too much, but rather the drops and other valuable equipments that can really affect things in a larger scale in the long run~
Mr. Cucu brings up a very valid point in the HP... With a HP that is triple of seal, can the same hunter possibly kill 3 seals using the wind arrow than against one galion using the silver arrow (of course, assuming that the bow used does not have special cards in them)? Perhaps not 3 seals, but when the time factor is taken into account, the difference in exp is not as great or dramatic in account~
Sometimes it is simply a player's skill as well... for example, Namine still finds it a shocking surprise to hear people say that Atros will be a very negative influence on the server due to his "easiness" and will drop too many good items as a MVP... Namine does not see him as easy at all without a well built party x_x; but on the other hand, some people claim to easily solo him? Perhaps, just maybe, the easiness comes from the skill factor... natural for these players to see the new monsters as very easy, but it may not be the same for everyone. *IF* that really is the case, then perhaps the skilled players ought to be rewarded anyway
(but personally speaking, not really looking forward to galion as training spots... perhaps ice cavern and odin temple, but certainly not rachel and the rachel fields until some breakthrough in strategy/playing style for Namine
