I also have an alternate method of making heRO work if you don't mind me snagging the attention ^.^
if you find getting kRO a hassle, heRO can easily be run off of the official iRO that can be found at the Gravity website, they allow you to download it in order to run their trial client; however you can skip the trial client because you have heRO. So just download iRO and like raglite it'll come along with an edition of sakray that you would normally use for updating, patching things like that. (Normally you'd have to worry about iRO being more dated than kRO but due to the slowness of our server in converting to the new svn i believe what we can get iRO in most likelihood has by now; so tho it is a backfire, it does make it all the more convenient to install heRO.)
after installing iRO you can then download the heRO client and it'll connect straight thru the iRO base and you can start playing ^.^ enjoy 8)
oh and not to take all the credit, General Argos was the first to suggest this idea and it is how I put heRO on my laptop and have been running it acceptably thus far.
