When the train was invented, doctors predicted and tried stoping everyone to use it saying it's speed would destroy your metabolism or even kill you.

People say aspartame is going to kill you, yet, the test that was taken involved in giving mices a larger amount than a human being would take in a year. No wonder that poor creature flipped.

People are saying cell phone is endangering your brain.

People told that in 2000, there would be a big computer crash and the economy of the world would collapse, hence, thousands, even millions of people emptied there bank accounts for... nothing.

If you follow every religion or cults, you will realize that the end of the world has already happened thousand of times.

Etc. etc. etc.

Let them do there test, people have always exaggerated and have been afraid of the unknown (which is the reason humans invented religion and the aspect of god (since we are the only living creature, known for now, that has a fifth, and rarely, a sixth degree of conscience)), being afraid is only stopping us from obtaining further knowledge (hoping to be used for the good cause).

I'd say they are, since at least in some of those cases, more than a handful of non-credible scientists in unrelated disciplines raised concerns.

Side note, been lookin up junk about black holes and the size a black hole has to hit before it can draw in matter and support itself, and grow, is estimated by scientists to be roughly the size of the sun.
