@Krim: I just don't see why I ought to try to run when I can barely walk... daily pvp should be FAR easier than tourney. All that I should do is announce, do the initial check, warp, and that's about it. Tourney will require more administrative approaches depending on formatting, balancing of time/prizes, and the worse part is to think of "perfect method" to make a line up. If I can't even host a daily event version of pvp event, I don't see how can I make a remotely successful pvp tournament.

When I have some more confidence in myself for pvp daily, I'll think about pvp tourney. My eventual goal *is* to be able to host pvp tourney decently and doing ToH pvp (it's an eternal mystery for me how Pandora figures out the line up, even with her explaining it to me time after time x_x) but as it stands now, that's going to be a very distant goal =/

Daily PVP-Event Rules
-No healing/restoration items of any kind during battle (there are exceptions)
-Exception 1: condensed red potion for Lif Homunculus and/or Condensed Potion Pitcher
-Exception 2: orange potion for "Potion Pitcher" skill
-Alchemist classes can use homunculus but cannot resurrect homunculus
-no cute pets
-unlimited green potion/panacea
-unlimited converters and ASPD potions
-stat buff foods allowed but only used during pre-buff period
-unlimited skills beings the mentioned exceptions for chemist
-each battle is 3:00 long
-only the following spell scrolls are allowed for scrolls:


Level 3 Cold Bolt Scroll
Level 3 Fire Bolt Scroll
Level 5 Lightning Bolt Scroll
Level 5 Cold Bolt Scroll
Level 5 Fire Bolt Scroll
Level 5 Lightning Bolt Scroll
Level 3 Soul Strike Scroll
Level 5 Soul Strike Scroll
Level 5 Earth Spike Scroll
Level 3 Fire Ball Scroll
Level 5 Fire Ball Scroll
Level 5 Fire Wall Scroll
Level 3 Frost Diver Scroll
Level 5 Frost Diver Scroll


(note: I'm at work right now and doing the scroll list off the top of my head. The levels may not be all correct. I'll edit/fix it afterward.)


EDIT: We'll probably try out Bone Collector using regular chars, and "King of the Court" soon one of these days using these pvp rules. It won't be perfect as we need to try out and fix some of these rules through experiments, but hope that it'll be fun ^_^

She said that she'll look into it, and then posted later how she's having problems because of the complicity and never worked the math out. 5 unique matchup regardless of how many total number of participants there are, with no repeats in line up if possible... it's starting to get doubtful if it's mathematically possible, and my mathematical programming is only at a linear level =/

Why not make a couple of PvP maps and warpers, and have different rules for each?
Eg, some allow restoration items, and the such?

Maybe an intital PvP warper to warp to a room where you then select where to go with another warper?

Because this is for events not pvp rooms. Generally in pvp rooms the rules most people follow is all items other than pots and fish are allowed. From time to time you will get some fish spamming loser who can't beat you in a fair match. What I think is interesting is that none of the alchemists use throw pot when they go by self imposed rules.

What Kadar said, though I have yet to try hosting one of these yet (due to lack of interests if pvp event is announced on the spur of a moment.) We may resort back to 1 week announcement mini-tourney type of thing then, we'll see~
