I don't think it's a good idea to provide incentives for voting, just for it to result in losing one of the biggest ways we get our players. As far as I know, though, there are loopholes. My last server had one such loophole.

On my last server, the voting system didn't give players a reward outright - it just gave them points that they could use in game (in this case, 50 points = unlock @commands, 500 points = Helm with +4 all stats). Voting once would give you one point, so obviously you can see how that works. The loophole in that case would be that the server isn't technically rewarding the player per se with items, but rather with something else that could be used to purchase said items.

However, I don't think heRO needs such a system. It's fine as it is.

It's not that.
It is that the RMS review rules cover exactly that. RMS reviews.

They have no control/rules about that servers can do when it comes to providing incentive/rewards for the voting sites around. I.E., Top100, Top200, etc.

i don't think vote for points would help HeRO become a better place... help newbies get richer even faster sure, but help the server itself? NO...

personally i don't think there's a reason for HeRO to even try to be no.1 on those top1000 top2000 or whatever lists...

you gotta balance population with content and also general demeanor... a sudden influx of population won't always be a good thing imho...

Someone make a epic vid of ToH.

I know a few servers that i've been looking at, have some great publicity, just because of their videos.*cough* Clownphobia* cough

I mean think about it, someone records a monster run on each of the different lanes, mix it up to where they both appear on the same screen (editing skills) add pumping intense bgm/music. Record the pvp matches that arnt' fail, look over them before you post them, and see if you can add any slow mo effects or some insta replay's of some epic moves.

(like, if say herman is facing Aisu, and they both body relocate into the middle ready to asura, then they absorb spirits, critical explodes, dangerous soul collects, then they asura at the same time, with the same cast speed. And they both time it so perfect that they hide through eachothers asura's.)

We've seen some matches in ToH pvp be epic, so let the world see it.

Don't record Mass PvP or Trivia though imo

The mentioned PvP match is so full of fail it's disheartening. Seriously, neither one of them would have the good sense to re-absorb spirits? Why weren't they already in fury status as they neared each other the first time? Why not hide-dodge the opponent's asura and THEN asura them back, almost guaranteeing the win? And how do you both asura and both hide dodge? That's not even possible, since Asura has aftercast delay (and if they had the SAME cast speed it wouldn't be possible even without aftercast delay) o.O

I guess the video idea is okay, but most videos get over-edited to include too many effects / cheesy background music and it makes it look like an angst-ridden teenager put it together, imo.

Also, Herman doesn't PvP on his champ as far as I know.

1 on 1 pvp is fail. Why would you record it? Use team matches plz.

Also the server would be better if I was given an infinite amount of AD bottles *-*. Maybe albus can have them to :3
