The yearly Easter Festivities are being hosted in Faeheim this year! On each field and dungeon map without an existing MVP, you will be able to find 1 bunny boss per map. There's 3 different types of bunnies you can find, with one being stronger physically, the other stronger magically, and the third one defensively. You can obtain past headgears from them, as well as other loot! Additionally, the seasonal gear trader in Hugel's fireworks shop has wares available year-round now with discounts on specific months, and a new easter headgear was added!

Happy 18th birthday to heRO! This year's anniversary quest, Memory of heRO, is now available and begins in Payon Archer village.

Remember to check out the series of massive class balances and upcoming events in our changelog in our wiki. Many other events and Halloween-related changes are coming for the birthday month of October.

On behalf of the GM team, thank you to everyone who continues to support heRO now or has played within the past 18 years. It has been a very long time, and we would not be here without all of you. I mean, we're only 1 month late for err... Halloween?

The next permanent new instance dungeon for heRO will be out soon. It will require you to have 25 Faeheim points. It's not a lot but it's not nothing either, especially if you aren't familiar with the system. If you want to make sure you have access to it, please be sure to get your points ready on your characters!

Happy belated Halloween, and a Merry Christmas heRO! Ferre's Playground, heRO's latest instance, is now available. This is the most complicated dungeon that heRO has offered, and we hope that it'll be an unique experience for you across any RO server. Please see the heRO wiki for detailed changelog and details.

Happy Lunar New Year and Happy Valentine's Day! It's been awhile since heRO has celebrated Lunar New Year. We have a series of events- from simple turn in quests to a new minigame available! The Easter Event is here! Smash easter eggs west of Prontera for bunny points, which you can trade with Annabelle in the city for all sorts of goodies, including one new costume! But watch out, an Easter Bunny might pop out of the eggs you smash! Defeat it to earn many bunny points for yourself and everyone near you!

Hi everyone,

We will be having an outage on Sunday for roughly 10-30 minute hopefully at an unspecified time for the purpose of new client final test integration. We will post again on Sunday June 23 of the exact time, and announce again when it will be back up. This is done to prevent possible worse-case scenarios where testing affects the live server. We hope that this test will go well! Depending on the result of the tests this Sunday, it'll inform the T&D + GM team regarding when we can pull the trigger to push the new client update out for everyone. Thank you for your understanding about the upcoming Sunday outage.

We're happy to announce that the much anticipated New Client Update will take place tomorrow!

The server will shut down at 11:00 server time on June 25th. We will have an extended outage lasting at least 7 hours. At 18:00 server time, we'll update you on the progress of our work—either announcing a time that the server is up or a further extension of an outage.

This massive update will require all players to uninstall the existing heRO. A new installer with the new client will be released tomorrow during the outage window. You MUST download the latest client to log in to heRO once the server is back up. We will have posts on our wiki in advance regarding how to port over your old homunculus AI settings, along with a guide on installing the new client and how to whitelist it for Windows Defender if you play the game on a Windows machine.

A long, exhaustive, complete changelog will be posted either tonight or tomorrow.

With the massive number of changes and improvement in quality of life, we ask everyone to please report all issues in the heRO discord if anything behaves differently compared to the old client and is not mentioned in the changelog. heRO discord will open its community thread feature for easy reporting of issues without support tickets- so you can see if another player has already reported your problem. We remind all players that if there's anything that's not mentioned in the changelog and you decide to keep a change private to your mechanical benefits, that will be treated as bug abuse. It is to all players' and the server's benefit to report all bugs and issues so they can be addressed swiftly.
