Need some anime recommendations...

Just started watching Cowboy Bebop yesterday, and I am hooked! Its too early to tell if its better then Trigun or not, but I can easily see it being tied at first

I fell asleep watching the Evangalion movie.. twice.. (don't remember which one), to its defense it was late both times and the thing was badly subbed so it was hard to read.

I did enjoy Samurai Champloo. It is by the same people who did Cowboy Bebop, but I have yet to check that out.

hmm, Evanglion is imo milked for all its worth already so while it is a good anime imo its sort of becoming too repetitive.

if you want recommendations there really are lots, but here are some that i think is worth watching:

-Monster (a must, the length will kill you but its very worth it)
-Planetes
-Rahxephone
-XxxHOLiC??
-Gunslinger Girls (first season)
-Code Geass (though I would recommend to not watch the dubbed)
-Claymore
-Karas
-Higurashi (you must watch all the chapters to understand it)
-Antique Bakery (bishi, shonen-ai, may not be to your taste)
-Dennou Coil (confusing at first but its really great)
-Galaxy Express 999 (very old, from 1970 ish)
-Vampire knight

yes Panda, the evangelion series and movie is full to the brim with existential and other philosophical as well as psychological thoughts and arguments, thus bad subs = zzz...
lots of things are always lost in translation...

and yes samurai champloo is made by the same ppl who made cowboy bebop... just google/wiki it... xP

xxxHolic is a darker/more adult anime than what most ppl would expect from clamp, but it's still lively and absurd and full of banter...
why is clamp so fixated on mokona and her derivatives? (a bit like how RO and heRO in particular is fixated on the poring family... xP)
