They do that even if you are the one who kills them anyway if they are that type of person.

RE: Quest Exp Rate
As we have seen, 5x quest xp gives you HALF of what you need to get to 99... however, some of those quests really ARE hard. Examples:

1) Kiel quest. Long, strenous, needs a lot of warps and walking and needs you to take down quest Kiel, who is easier than the actual MVP, nevertheless, he can't be taken down solo by most ppl. They need to get a party to get him done. So either they find a party over main chat or they are member of a guild, which is the best thing you can do to learn how to play your class. Third option would be being able to solo him, in which case you seem to know your class pretty well.

2) Veins sibling quest needs you to go down to Thors 1-3. It can be done by using up 1k of fly wings and still then it will be very frustrating as you will get killed by kasas, salamanders, imps or even iFrit.
I think it was a GM who told me the sibling is missing, I'm not sure though. This is the reason why we don't have the nameless island entrance quest btw...

Soo, these quests, Kiel being 1.2 mil (?) xp in 1x rates and Veins sibling being part of the quest arch for like 6 mil (?) xp cannot be done solo by the average player. Those quests FORCE you to be in a guild or to find a good party to do them, which i bet is more helpful for player skill and fair play by that player than just solo grinding Rachel 1 (to mention another grinding place besides mosco at least for once).

Increasing the xp they give provides more incentive to actually care to do the quests (I've done kiel only on those chars that need the dungeon access, and not for the xp), and thus to group up and to learn the party use of one's char (a thor 3 party is doomed by just one player not sticking to the strategy).

BTW: can a GM please confirm the missing sibling is really missing? If he isn't i'd like to do the quests (because i'm interested in the story behind).
Mr Moe - 99/69 SinX
Mr Satch - 9x/6x Clown
Mr Power - Xx/Xx Whitesmith

[ultimate attack='counter argument']
im a baby novice, and i completed all those
[/end ultimate attack]

XD sorry a lil hyper

but yes, i am aware of the actual difficulty of some of the quests, and do note though that the kiel quest gives some exp before you actually have to kill kiel

also, that fly winging isn't really all that hard... i mean everything in thor's can one hit KO me, but i travel down there, and to level 2 sometimes just to do quests (i've had to go down there like 10 times now)

and to anyone that says i have play dead and can play dead through thors, the monsters down there are mini bosses and CAN still hit me while im in play dead
