Why DO you PVP?

Very nice, and clean response Monkey. I completely agree. PVP is where its at, if you're geared for it. Though, Beelz is a much tougher challenge than any LK with Zerk and 300% Tao. Anyone can gear for mid or demihuman and be good in PVP but it takes a special sort of gearing to Solo, and participate in parties against end game bosses.

So yes, PVP is part of the game, and a big part of it, but it is certainly not the reason the game exists. I've played on servers without PVP entirely, and it was wonderful. PVP isn't nessecery, It's good to have, and mighty fun.. but it is absolutely in no way what RO is all about.

Personally, I like the music, the scenery, the game mechanics, questing, grinding, and everything before I venture into the love of PVP. Although, I admit, whenever I play a high rate I do live in the PVP room. It's more less because the interesting and knowledgable people are always there.

I like socializing in PvP with friends, along with a few funny hits and deaths here and there. However, some people just like killing me, so I don't normally hang out there. I don't really PvP either, since I don't necessarily have the correct gears.

While I enjoy both the aspect of PvM and PvP, I like PvP better, mainly because competition is fun. I haven't gone in there because I have no gears and well, it's gonna suck. What I don't get is people using the PvP rooms to chat. What I get even less is when they complain about getting killed. In a PvP room.

Well, I clearly do not have PvP build nor do I have the equips to really pvp (I don't even own a cranial shield). But it's fun to walk in there and do what priests do. Buff and heal spam. Sometimes it's fun to kill assassins. Most of the time I just whack people with my staff. But it's still fun watching how well (or not well) people PvP and study techniques. Something like that.
