I like that guild idea. It reminds me of the guilds in FFXI. When you give them materials, they will give you points which will result in access to special recipes and equipment.

well imho the main reason "more spots" is not acceptable is because then the macro-ers can spread out even more, making it harder for GMs to manage/monitor them...

perhaps a sub-quest or add-on would be to "cook" the fishes... but then it would be a mockery to real RO cooking... so i dunno, anyone got more interesting ideas?

Well, I think the subject here is to suggest ideas and what the players would like to happen to the fishing script. It is up to the GMs to decide which features they can and cannot implement or if they will even decide to change the script at all.

Actually...if it is possible to make a healing item, that heals X%/points of hp/sp per second, for X amount of time without them stacking onto each other's effects...'cooked' fish wouldn't be a bad idea, in my opinion.

Perhaps use some items out in the world that would be semi hard to hunt- to provide another outlet for money in the selling market, along with specific fish/amounts of them, and a fun quest to allow you to do it all.

Maybe make an 'advanced fishing hat' later that increases chance of 'cooking' being a success, and producing an item.

Just another quick idea, mutant fish and angel fish could be made into special sushi, or something...and when used they resist a certain % of light/dark(or undead) damage for x amount of time.

Aren't you basically describing the Large / Medium / Small Healing Potions and similar, but for fish? In the first paragraph, that is.

If the thoughts I mentioned already exist, just ignore my ramblings.

I never really heard of those potions, up until now though, oddly enough.

Those potions only appears at Muspel, if you've never gone there, or never dropped them, you know what they do now.

This is the best idea I've heard in awhile. I'd love having tons of objectives and things to do with both fishing & mining. I'm a big fan of the Fishing system in Breath Of Fire III. Any way we can get a Random Weight Generator on the Fish? And get records for like "Biggest Bass" and such.

That sounds like an awesome idea. Trying to compete for best catch of the week and maybe if you're currently in the lead, you'll have a bonus in fishing.
