Holy light works, especially if you have SP restores and Soul link, but i made do with siroma's and arctic wings.

You don't have to be the one who kills all of them. There is a time limit and the mobsters are to die, it doesn't mean you are to kill all of them.

So... any party you are in are to kill 50 mobsters. Or even any people on the map are to kill 50 mobsters. Or something like that (we tested only the 'party' way).

i started the quest on my sage, changed alts, and killed the mobsters with claymore on my hunter

you don't even have to be on the map, as long as the monsters die and YOU are the one that summoned them

Like the zombie slaughter in nameless quest, except that one is even easier to avoid as me and ae found out lol.
