Need help and people's input on Windows 8!

The problem is definately with the setup, basically whatever you're are inputting in the setup window is not saved, which is why usually setting the exe to run as admin fixes the problem (allowing it to save). Odd that it didn't work, hopefully one of Spuznik' ones works.

Honestly, I'm fairly sure its the setup too, I've seen this before but it's something of a client to client thing, if the setup saves data with HKCU instead of HKLM like most clients do by default, this might work: http://svn6.assembla.com/svn/ClientSide/...KCU_Setup/

( you want setup_patched.exe)

Ultimately though, make sure you run setup as administrator first, HKLM can only be written with an administrator account.

We'll need to know what the problem you're getting is first, do you get a small window, or an error message, etc. ? and did you install the full or mini installer?

Thank you for your attention ... My situation is that I get a small window (just a bar size) when I copied the folder from another pc ... After which, I downloaded the full installer ... However, it turned out that it couldn't be opened or run as admin ...

I have the 0 size window problem with the renewal client, and it's fixed by running it as administrator (I know you're not supposed to do that, but I don't care).
