Fortuna's annual Fireworks Day is approaching, and the Celebration Girl needs your help to prepare. Bring her either 10 Love You Firecracker, 10 Birthday Firecracker or 10 Xmas Firecracker for base and/or job exp, plus temporary summer suits! You can hand in a maximum of 10 sets, and once you're done, you'll receive a special costume! You can find the Celebration Girl at Fortuna town in the Faeheim Region. If you don't have warper access and don't want to travel, an NPC in Prontera near the warpers can take you there. The quest will be available for about a week, so don't procrastinate!

Many changes took place in heRO during August, including a new game client! These changes are so big that many current game files will no longer work, so we decided to do a complete overhaul of the full installer as well. This means that all players must redownload the game in order to play. See here for the game's download links, and here for a list of changes or to report possible bugs.

A bug with the new client seemed to slip through the cracks in which character names 19 characters or longer can cause the game of everyone with @Main on to crash when sending messages to #Main or @Main.

For now and until the issue is fixed (which won't be anytime soon), character names 19 characters or longer are not allowed. Anyone with existing characters that meet this criteria will receive a free rename from GMs, just send a support ticket with a list of all chars that should be namechanged.

Needless to say, anyone found abusing this bug will be severely punished.

HeRO is reaching the amazing milestone of 15th anniversary this month! Always stable, never any wipes. We are the longest running RO private server! We have a lot of surprises and gifts in store to celebrate in style and properly reward you, our lovely players!

• The Hero's Journey: How do our adventures and memories impact us as a person? Embark on this epic questing experience with Tiamat and travel through official and custom areas to learn what makes a hero! Start with a new novice and grow to level 80 by questing, with little to no grinding involved!
  
  
• Halloween Quest: Lord Huppal has been living quietly for a few years, sadly his manor is invaded again, by several ghosts and a witch, poor guy. Find him in Prontera to assist him!
  
  
• Pandelina graces us with her presence as always, with free goodies and several interesting deals to offer the veterans and newcomers alike.
  
  
• Frederick is in Prontera awaiting to help you participate in several hourly events. There is also an evil Halloween MVP to vanquish.

The town of Hugel is holding a special event this year! They've released turkeys carrying bags of special loot all over Schwartzvald's fields! Beat the turkeys for a chance at winning all sorts of goodies, which will change sporadically until November is over! The turkeys respawn 10 to 15 minutes after being defeated, so you have plenty of chances to obtain loot! Have fun!

The 2020 Christmas Quest is now available! It begins in Fortuna town, and features a fairy you might recognize if you did The Hero's Journey quest. Help him out once more to gain the option to create one of four tropical headgears!

The server is live again!

In Prontera you will find Pandelina who has gifts to bestow our patient heroes, because we are so so sorry for all the downtime and inconvenience!! Rates have also been increased to 6/6/4 (no change to chests staying at 3, and cards are still 5)

The Control Panel is still giving us issues, so that will have to come later. For now, we have re-enabled the old _M/_F method to create accounts. This means that to create an account, I'll use username_M for a male account, or username_F for a female account, and your password in the login box when you open RO. To login again remove the _M or _F. Once the account is created, you should be able to use control panel to vote 4 points and so on.

E.g. For a female account with account name AnExample and a password of ChangeIt, I'll use this to create the account:

account name: AnExample_F
password: ChangeIt

Then to log in:

account name: AnExample
password: ChangeIt
