RE: SVN update
Namin?'s imagination will soon have memories of hunters stunlocking galions killing them for 50k exp without even trying. Just another point and click monster but gives more exp then a Ancient Mummy.

RE: SVN update
yeti im just wondering .. if you dont play the server why are you so very scared of it (finally after a very long wait) getting a new SVN.Why does it matter that gravity should add yet another monster (like 90% of them allready here) that an archer class can stun lock and kill.God forbid they add another leveling spot other than soils and seals or orcs or stings . Why not throw some positive stuff that will be with a new svn instead of pointing out an equipment set that ehalter and krimlin will have in 4 weeks no matter what you do to the monster drops.. You just tryin to make it immposibile for anyone else to get them? Im just wonderin why your tryin to discourage our new SVN?

RE: SVN update
Shades of Blue, I'm just wondering why I shouldn't care about this server? Why should I not inform Pandora of something that I believe is unbalanced because she might not know about it because she has been hard at work on heRO.

Oh, and I am just wondering why you think I am discouraging the new SNV. If it seems that way to everyone I guess I just have a strange and blunt way of pointing things out.

RE: SVN update
I've fought galions before. They are faster than a player without agi up. This isn't a monster that any old hunter can just run up to and solo easily. It would take at least 2 people to kill one, unless you are a trap hunter or rogue.

Obviously I am probably forgetting a thing or two, but that doesn't change the point any. There is no such thing as unbalanced xp. There is nothing stopping anyone from making a galions party.

Do you know what stunlocking is?

Perhaps it might be a good idea to wait for the test period to begin with the version we'll be using before going all like this? o_o

If we look there (Galion)

We can see that the monsters will be having the same walking speed as a player (fast). Plus they are going to be summoning slaves (Roweens). I doubt any sort of abusement like the ones you mentionned earlier can be made in these conditions ;P

Anyway, even if they wouldn't have had any slave, I think it wouldn't have been much of a case of being concerned about these monsters hence their high amount of hp ;o

Just be patient. We'll have time to talk about all this when everything will be 100% functional o_o

Still thanks for pointing that out Icon_razz I'm sure everyone will definitely be looking forward to more constructive advices like this in the future

All the melee classes probably said the same thing about geographers too back then... Just like how all the other classes may have whined about Ancient Mummy totally skewing the speed of training for Priests with Turn Undead (especially if reset function is present in heRO, but at least reset in heRO costs a fortune) and using the fact that on iRO, it is TU Priests that hit 99 faster than any other classes to solo against them~

Thinking

Namine personally just see it as relatively minor point... It has always been part of RO, regardless of server, that has some classes having an easier time to train than another... Namine does not really mind the speed of leveling by too much, but rather the drops and other valuable equipments that can really affect things in a larger scale in the long run~

Mr. Cucu brings up a very valid point in the HP... With a HP that is triple of seal, can the same hunter possibly kill 3 seals using the wind arrow than against one galion using the silver arrow (of course, assuming that the bow used does not have special cards in them)? Perhaps not 3 seals, but when the time factor is taken into account, the difference in exp is not as great or dramatic in account~

Sometimes it is simply a player's skill as well... for example, Namine still finds it a shocking surprise to hear people say that Atros will be a very negative influence on the server due to his "easiness" and will drop too many good items as a MVP... Namine does not see him as easy at all without a well built party x_x; but on the other hand, some people claim to easily solo him? Perhaps, just maybe, the easiness comes from the skill factor... natural for these players to see the new monsters as very easy, but it may not be the same for everyone. *IF* that really is the case, then perhaps the skilled players ought to be rewarded anyway Sweat

(but personally speaking, not really looking forward to galion as training spots... perhaps ice cavern and odin temple, but certainly not rachel and the rachel fields until some breakthrough in strategy/playing style for Namine No1 )

RE: SVN update
It isn't hunters killing Galions that I am worried about. If you want to talk about leveling abuse you should see a monk mob the whole galion map and tank mages. Crazy speed leveling. My last server got in a huge fight about sharing galions. Atros is an easy mvp for archer classes. But does that really matter? A good asura monk can mvp basically anything they want with ease. What I can't wait for are hill winds, siroma, and new gears. I don't think Panda should mess with drops and exp.

lots and lots of stuff thats allready there is easy for mvp archer classes so what if another gets added. you start tinkering with the monsters than youll just make it to where itll be difficult for a diffrent class that mightve found it easy while makeing it easy to a class that found it hard before.
