How do you refer to soft drinks?

"Soda" is the way to go.??

If someone asked me if I want a "Coke" I might tell them no.??I only like Coke if it's out of a fountain and that's only sometimes.??I wouldn't know they mean just soda in general.??=p

When people ask if I want a "pop" I giggle a little bit.??My mom called it pop, but she was from Indiana and had a slight accent.??She pronounced car "ker".??xD
So, when people say "pop" it reminds me of her saying it.??=p

"Shoda" reminds me of the Mythbusters episode where they did the soda/mentos myth thingy.??Adam gets a funny look on his face and says, "ITCH SHODA!" xD

Krim - I thought that's what you meant, but nearly the entire map is 23+% obese whereas only like 33% of America refers to soda as "Coke".
So, I thought you were just posting a map because I did.

I still really don't see the correlation, though.??:o

LoL - I have to agree with Tsetsume on this one.

You may have felt your map was somewhat related but since nearly the entirety of the united states have almost a quarter of their populations overweight yet only about a third of them refer to soda as "Coke" then that only shows that a quarter of the population is overweight and a third of the population refers to soda as "Coke".??=p

Plus, only 7.5 of the nine "heavily obese" states refer to soda as "Coke"; plus, New Mexico and Florida have some of the lower obese populations with high concentrations of "Coke-sayers."

Sorry to get all technical with you, but it is, indeed, completely unrelated.??You wouldn't say Asia is Chinese or Russian just because of the overlap, would you???=p
