Sadly the other benefits of nobility aren't matching up like they once did about two years ago when this first came out.

You get now:
A birthday party every year
A middle headgear that's kind of mediocre.

You want one that's better, be prepped to spend HUNDREDS of millions.
3 Def is not that great for some when we have things like Fin Helm and Iron Cain for swordies, and hell even the mdef bonus of the midgear is getting challenged with stuff like Ninja Scroll existing giving us +2 and already existing crap like Anonymity Request (official gear). I'm sorry 1 def is just not enough to justify the millions spent that only ONE character can use.

Now for fun, add the fact your bonuses can be taken from you at any given time by another player outranking you.

But the rant associated with that is for another day. This suggestion is attempting to work with the current system to make it more worth it to the people who did spend those hundreds of millions :x

The gems are fine as is. When there are new mids/lowers that are more powerful than the nobility gems, then this argument is applicable. However, it seems there's already some sort of balance applied to these gears to compare to already existing ones (for example, the ninja scroll vs the white ribbon is a 2mdef:1%matk tradeoff).

Nobility still remains the only way to get stats not readily available for classes (a dex mid on HW, perhaps), and in that sense, I feel it does not need a boost.

Unranked is pretty much owned by everything.

Ranked has already been owned by several lowers (Ninja scroll, hip ribbons, adv backpack), Even Prince's MDEF has been challenged by anonymity request (as mentioned above). Ranked is also doomed to take a backseat to Peco Ears and Black Glasses

...Plus I can get slotted sunnies/glasses cheaper than ranked :D

Oh goodie, it's binoculars for everyone. That +1 Dex doesn't make that huge of a difference, really. Unless you have 149 Dex and want Insta cast. Oh goodie I can Agi and Luk on my forehead. Oh wait, Peco Ears will be available via voting and I can get more Luk via the heRO Adv. Backpack!

There's a reason binoculars aren't usable by everyone - that +1 dex mid is super useful, imo. But then, I play a full support prof and a dex wizard - so of course I want that.

:x Just saying that it really isn't so much of a deal that it justifies the gems being the way they are now. Same goes for other gem exclusive stats, really.

I'm saying that nobility gems and the other mid gears will likely be balanced out, just like how the ribbon and ninja scroll are.

You're forgetting about the other things nobility gem can give, such as:
- HP / SP without using slotted mids to do so
- Extra flee (1 more than advanced mini ribbons, iirc)
- Perfect dodge (do you know any other PD midgears?)
- Crits (see above)
- +1 DEF, which would basically allow for any NON ranked noble to get fin helm like defense on a non-swordsman character

As it is, even with just ONE of those effects it's pretty strong, especially since it's a mid-gear.
