I'm too lazy to go looking for the pictures to go with it, but there are a few I happened to borrow the names from anime.

Our old guild alchemist was Naru, short for Narusegawa, the leading role brunette for Love Hina and Love Hina Again.

Our guild Blacksmith, Hotohori, is named after a character in Fushigi Yuuigi...one of these days I'll get back to that series and go past episode 10 or so. I assume he was the love interest of the main character.

Our current guild alchemist, Shinobu, is also from Love Hina. I kind of had a thing for her, she's so darn cute. Too bad she was more of a side character.

Our guild soul linker, Hinata, is taken from Naruto. She reminded me a lot of Shinobu in personality and looks- and similarly role in the story. <.<

Bonus answers:

My monk, Leon, is taken from an anime-esque game that probably know one's ever heard about, but it was a really great classic game. Dragon Force, for the sega saturn. Leon was one of the main 8 leaders of the game, and ruled over Topaz, and of course in the game- he was a bad ass monk character.

My assassin taken from Dragon Force, Hayate, is popularly considered the best ninja in the game. For good reasons at that.

FYI Alex: Hotohori was not the love interest of the main character Miaka. Miaka loves Tamahome and vice versa. Hotohori does love Miaka, but he respectfully yields to Tamahome and treats Miaka more like a daughter.

heh heh the green haired guy i think is Miaka's older brother, considering it's from the first few episodes. Hotohori is the king of the southern (?) kingdom, whose god is the Phoenix. The cross-dresser (not transvestite, no fake boobs) is Nuriko.
