my idea was similar. Recode the tiles on the map (cause I heard people talkin about this before) so that they aren't registered on the map as PvP participants. Much like how the ToH PvP maps are.

RE: PvP Spectator Mode

well you could make this positive and just take it as a sign that u need to hunt more than you spectate. fberet and thara isnt hard to come by at all. and i might sound kinda mean but really its al out free for all madness in there so you spectating is just wasting space for us to move in. i dont mean this in mean ways im just trying to send a small msg

I would be against even having invisible people in there. It would get in the way of traps. Also to kill a trick dead novice, just put land mines up then dispell. A new PvP map with a spectator area overlooking the battle area sounds plausible though.

RE: PvP Spectator Mode

I think the best suggestion here so far has been to create a character that can defend itself. If you'd really like to spectate, you can satisfy your hunger by creating a novice with trick dead. I personally only know of two ways to counter trick dead -- dispell and tarot. I myself wouldn't bother doing either to a novice unless I'm in "that" mood.

Alternatively, you can create a character that can actually fight back. I shall impart you with my own, personal golden rule: "Touch me and I'll make you suffer."

Aeolian (99/69 High priestess) - A helping hand
Aeolia (99/70 Professor) - Let me teach you a lesson
Aeo (99/50 Perma monk) - Aldebaran Battle Maiden
Aella (99/69 Sniper) - Quick and easy
Rhianna (98/69 Gypsy) - Free services in full
Lheanne (96/64 Assassin Cross) - Demanding dominatrix
Rhia (98/65 Creator) - Open to experimentation

RE: PvP Spectator Mode

I don't see this ever coming into effect just to make a few people happy. The only way you can satisfy both your needs of wanting to kill people sometimes and not be killed also is to work hard on a character that you can defend yourself on. Yes there are people in PVP who are amazing to watch but that's only because they put effort into their characters as well. If you can't commit yourself to that then you're playing the wrong game.
Plus I can see it being abused by people who just want to enter pvp and make fun of people/spam/taunt/shit talk/etc without being killed or booted from the room. It would turn more into a problem than anything useful if you ask me.

I want to know what class can dispell and land mine.

Get lucky with an Abracadabra sage IMO.
