Yes, the high rate is gonna be open for a day probably, it will have ninja and gunner, and all that stuff mentionned above, on the new svn.

Next saturday, December the 9th at around 2-3 PM, the main server will be turned off, for a day. This is the day we are testing the new svn, which has Ninja/Gunner and all the new changes from eAthena.

On that day, you can play on a high rate temporary server (will probably be 1k/1k/1k), we need your feedback before implementing this new svn, so come and give it a try. If we have a lot of people on, I might hold a woe saturday night. I will revert everything back to the real server by sunday morning, so this does not affect the sunday woe.

Important: If all goes well, you wont need to download anything, HOWEVER, your account will not be working on the test server, you will need to create a new account using the "_F/_M" method.

I'll probably be doing a few reboot during the day saturday, to tweak some stuff and it might take a little time to set it up properly, so please be patient ^_^

Please spread the news in-game, as not everyone reads the forum and I'd like to minimize the amount of "zomg server is down!" Icon_razz

so if all goes well and the new svn is uploaded, we won't have to redownload kro or sakray? Is it dumb-proof?

lol you were never gonna have to download kro/sakray.

But I could have made the new december patch for the test server, in which case you would have had to download a new monthly patch. But I prefer to keep those separate. 1 thing at the time.

The only thing you'll have to do is register a new account just for the test server (no, it does not affect in any way your current account).

I'm not sure it's dumb-proof, but it should be normal-user-proof. Icon_razz

Like ultima_pi said, 1 day is way to short even on high rate.

Maybe if it would stay open till monday, will make testing more fun.

It's a start.. I don't want to leave the real server down for an extensive period of time.

When we last updated the svn, it didnt take a day for people to start complaining about stuff, so I assume we should at least get a general idea in a day.

We could also not test it and say "this is the new svn, deal with it", but we decided to get at least some feedback.

There are so many aspects of an SVN to want to test for. New drops, new maps, etc etc. There is just no way to test everything afterall, new things are found out everyday =)

What I suggest is that you look for things it matters to you specifically. In Ultima's case, mvps possibly. Testing out new quest and such shouldnt take more than a day.

I suggest certain commands be available to players for high rates only, such as @warp, @heal, @alive, @mobsearch. And since we're making it a high rate, why not take it to the max and make it 10k? Icon_wink
