Ahhh. Lucky you, then. I've heard Melbourne's metal scene is a) much friendlier than the Sydney crowd and b) has better venues. The Enmore Theatre isn't bad, but the Metro gets most gigs and is bloody awful (sticky floors, all gigs must end by midnight without exception, drinks are cut off from the bar at 11, ridiculously inconsistent bag/camera policies and on and on and on), the HiFi tends to either have poor air circulation or draws a very rough crowd of (usually non-fan) locals out for the night. Then, the Factory is awesome, but almost never gets metal.

Saw Cherry Poppin' Daddies at the Factory, though. That was pretty amazing. Hm.
