ToH Sniper

so far my LK has got his wings 4 out of 4 times, but each time he failed to get 70 from monster and item

I have a sniper and thinking about switching

I currently have no bow, I assume OAB my best bet?

I have the glorious ring combo with archer medal

gives me 600hp 80sp 5% aspd 10%attk str 10 crit etc
not looking to invest in archer set (wings/scarf)

I've currently got a kick ass wool/tidal set, which im half trying to vend
+9 GWC wool, +8 tidal green ferus

I have a blessed helm id like to use, and not really much of a backpack

not sure if i should try to bring wings or something, maybe even a daiblos robe for more sp

also, do u spam blue pots etc and DS all the monsters in item?
how many blue pots will i need

Never used sniper in ToH, but think can help a bit.

The perfection will be 3 bows: OAB, mvp/ghost (AK, AK, CS, CS) and Rudra Bow.
U can jump the last two, but OAB is a must.
An armor very usefull in my opnion is the ED, preferable anything light: no status ftw. D robe with ED sound perfect.
Also a lot of sniper use backpack (all 3 damage backpacks would be perfect) and blessed helm: weight, hp and sp. Want to know other?

Sniper set save your items: get your lk and go to farm imo.

Other set that can you use are or the Orcus Set (the best choice for sniper full damage) or the Dragon Set, with the classic cards (Bapho Jr., Porcellio, Dragon Tail, ect. Depend on your build).

With ws on item trial I really loved the wings with Earth Deleter card.
On item itrl use this wings or an ED armors (because Garms/Taos).

Usable are traps/converters/arrows/quivers/strawberry/aloe/mastela/blue pots/panacea.
How many idk, wait one other answer.

I've never brought OAB to ToH. Thanatos in item hunt is ghost so you would have to use ele arrows, in which case Rudra would deal more dmg than OAB since it has higher attack. Rudra is a better generic bow for ToH imo, especially with the limited # of converters you can bring and their short duration. Everyone else seems to bring OAB and claim it's the best by far though so maybe they can shed some light as to why.

Umm.. let's see, with OAB we have constant 150% damage output without verters at all, except for a tiny chance of ghost mobs (and that's what ghost arrows are for), so least we get 125% damage at all times. Rudra, on the other hand, is holy with 30 more attack. So mostly 100% damage output without verters. Iono, I'd place my bet on OAB.

Also, i've been using sniper for ToH for a set period of time, and only armor I mostly took was marc (and sometimes i just got whichever OB I had on my acc at that time, so either pasana or bathory), and only time I ever regretted that was when we had aspersio casting holy mobs. Why OB if it's heavy? I'm lazy and get 35% SP consumption reduct, to spam less pots. So you can easily get away on sniper with almost any gears, to be honest. DS spam + use of traps will get you through like 90% situations possible.

Edit: Oh, and with my setup i use ~80 SP pots (ranked) per ToH.

Since I'll be gone, ToH is history for me. I'll share with you how I run ~90 points each time, without mass battle (dark); not counting on triva.

Hat: First off, go with Blessed/Cursed helm (extra weight) +5% hp/sp.
Carry another hat, such as Ulle's or +7 Hero's Stylish hat (+140 sp).
Mid: Bino
Lower: Backpack 400 extra weight, you have rainbowing, +5% dmg.
Armor: I run +3Dex BG Suit. +20% hp; you can carry a Odin's blessing for Ulle's combo, but they are heavy.
Something I'de like to try is Porcelio+5th generation ToH wing (+600hp+100 sp +50atk).
Bow: I carry BG bow (for mass battle or demi/human) they are 0 weight. My default bow is +7 Ixion Wings[1] (high atk, chance to trigger 190 atk speed, etc) you can slot it with anything you want.
Muffler: I run +6 Whisper Wool. You can have Aliot card (I got one).
Shoes: +7 Sohee Tidals (+15% sp).
Accessory: Sniper set.

Summary: These gears give you 1000+sp. And each DS only cost you 9 sp.
With Backpack and Alligence helm, you can carry 90 Salmon/Mutant.

Monster trial: carry traps, for fat guys, just snare them and keep distance. (you usually won't need any fish here).

Item trial: Bring 500 arrows of all element. Hotkey 4-5 of the needed ones.
-Water = Ifrit
-Fire = Tao/General
-Wind = Garm
-Earth = Baso
-Silver = Bapho
-Ghost = Thana
Just hotkey Fish, DS, Attention Con, True Sight and Wind walk. Keep spamming DS and swap arrows, that way, you kill everything in your surrounding, never running out of sp, Ideal is 9-18sp and you get the kill.

Really, ToH is a piece of cake, 40~45 points/mission for sure if you know how to play.

Small hint: Hotkey Sharp Shooting, those high DEF monsters in trial don't stand a chance, mob them and Mega DPS it. (ex. lava Golem, Ice titan, etc)

I believe that the +7 Hero's Stylish Hat will not give you the +140 SP like indicated unless you did the Quest that year.
