Lol let's have a GM event where one team tries to help the MVP across the maze while another team try to kill it before they manage to get the MVP through it capture the flag style!! Plus you'll see a lot of death with the lurers dying and MVP AoEing

Or we could have MVP soccer and have a giant map with goalie baskets where the MVP gets insta death when it passes through it adding scores to the team who scored ;D

I see your Point but i think you sugarcoat the scenario too much.
In my Book good competition leads to everyone improving their own performance rather than to destroy the enemys performance (read adam smith imo) If you say messing with your rivals is a valid strategy instead you just shift the focus to a point that isnt about improving your performance which is bad imo.

Still dont know if ill actually pull bs like that pneumaing in the future (i hope im not greeedy enough to do it in this scenario actually)

I can see why gms decided to cut domination rule (rule overload and all) but my opinion stays,this will be a bad thing way more often than a good thing.

if you want more examples: gtb champ vs non gtb champ at orcus: wo domination rule gtb champ is allowed to deliberately tele orcus bc he doesnt give a damn about the dungeon while the other champ/hp duo can basically give up,till they clear new area,gtb champ is hald done already.... countless similar scenarios where it just ruins fun comp. if you establish screwing players as a legit strategy

Fair enough, Demogorgon. You're entitled to your opinion (and I agree it will lead to *some* frustrations, almost certainly). But I still think this is preferable to the old domination rule. With the old domination rule, even if two parties were equally skilled the ones who got aggro first had MASSIVE advantages since they could do whatever they wanted (within reason) and not break rules while the other group had to be extremely cautious about getting reported even for seemingly legitimate competition. It was just too worrisome / a hassle.

Plus, MVPs are supposed to be a competition (I miss the old days on officials when even Eddga was exciting). You're probably right that I'm sugar coating a bit - but that's my bias :D

MVP Domination rule got removed in 2011, it was complicated to handle, a hassle like azure said.

And if sniper is DSing mvp and has it in hitlock u can't pneuma, cuz then the sniper would die(be at risk of dying). Right?
