[Spire]

More and more wolves seemed to pour out?of the woods to help their brethren defeat the taisty children. Arrows hailed tword the creatures, but it was no use for Spire and Rika were hopelessly outnumbered.??And just as it seemed that our adventure would end here and now.??

A light shone out of the darkness as a Peco mounted Golden Knight charged through the Beasts. His helmet drawn hiding his face. He jumped off the peco, drawing his spear as fast as lighting.??A crack of thunder was heard from his mighty spear.??As the wolves retreated in fear.??The numbers dwindled after two had been slain in a single blow by the golden knight.??The ones that he spared ran off into the forest.

The knight wheeled around to Spire and Rika, He looked the two of them over, obviously they had little combat experiance and said in a very manly and strong proud voice, "Are you two ok."

Spire just nodded as he glanced at their savior.??
Wondering he looked like.??

At that thought the knight took off his helm, Revealing his face, it was of a man of valor, a man who laughed in the face of danger, his eyes were a deep blue and his hair a golden yellow.??"My name is Static." He explained?"I heard the scilence and knew wolves were on the attack so I came running.??It looks like I was right"

Static, that was his name. 'Such a powerful name' Spire thought. 'I bet a man such as this could help us in our quest' "Kin sir, could you escort us to Geffen tower, we come from the city of Prontera, it is under the control of the dark one. We must stop him at all costs"

"What.. You two! Ha! You can barely defend yourselves against wolves..." He paused. "Wait.. you might be the ones that Arcanas talked about...??Are your names Spire, and Rika?" Static asked first with laughter in his voice, then with a serious tone.

They nodded.??"yes.. we are." A bit confused they were going to go a bit unannounced

"Then follow me.." He said turning tword his Peco peco. He mounted the great armored beast, and beckoned them to come forward. "I will defend the two of you with my life, but now we must hurry."

..That last chapter just made me gape, cringe, and laugh all in a row.

I could actually see Static's character doing that too. The chapters just keep getting more and more amusing, I hope you write some more! And maybe include me in it some more too. XD Teehee. Only if you feel like it though.

Rika and Spire followed Static Through the trees along a worn beaten path, "where are we going again?" Spire asked Static, curious.

"To the one I serve, Arcanas, The Sage."Static replied as they came to a small hut surrounded by Stones with mystic runes on them.

"Go ahead inside, I'll wait out here," Static said as he dismounted.??His Spear catching a faint spark of sunlight sending a glare into Spire's eyes, he turned away.

"Sure but.. Who's Arcanas???Why did you bring us here?," Spire said finally working up the courage to talk to his savior.??Looking away definutly helped him.

"Arcanas is a Sage of immeasurable power and wit, I am a good friend of his.??He is also a seer, one who can peer into the future, he sent me out to find Spire and Rika, and bring them to him." Static replied, his voice was ever vigilant. He sat down at one of the stone pillars "These should keep us safe for now, There is nothing to fear here. Go ahead Spire, me and Rika will wait here for you."

Spire didn't quite understand, but he walked forward into the small hut. inside was four large stone figures each adorned on each of the walls corresponding with each cardianal Direction.

In the East one was made of Gold, and was of a giant Beetle.
The North was made of sapphire and was of a Huge Dog like beast.
The west was made of a Knight Sheathed in Wind, made of fine crystal.
And the Southern one was made of solid ruby, and was of a man Surrounded by fire, who's eyes where wicked with evil.

But in the center of all of this was a man sitting on a finely woven silk rug. His Hair and his clothes was of orental style, dragons ran down the pattern in his cloth, and his red hair burned brightly among the torchlight that lit the room.

"Welcome young one." The man said in a wise voice as he opened his closed eyes, His eye's were completely glassed over with white. A very eerie sight in the torchlight.??Spire staired at him, it was rather frightening to look at him, but there was nothing scary about him. His voice was very calming and Relaxed.??

"You told.. uhm.. Static to find us... Why?" Spire managed to stutter out, something about this man was very scary.. but Spire could not put his finger on it.

"I told him to find you because I need you to complete your quest." The man said again. "The quest to Slay the Dark one."??Spire was taken aback, this man could really know the future. Or at least the present.
"You must go to The Town of Alberta, to find another hero, if you hope to win.??Then what you must do will become apparent." He said.

'Alberta' Spire thought, 'The Trade city, its so far out of the way.'

"Is there something you wish to ask of me young one?" The seer said, again in his friendly tone.

"Well.. If your a Seer like Static said can't you just see into the future and tell if we'll win or not?"

"No, unfortiuntly The Dark ones past, present and future are clouded to me.??I cannot even see if your quest will succeed.??But you must, because I can see the world if you fail... and it will be a dark place... a place without life." He said His voice began to tremble at the last words

"I cannot let that happen" Spire replied, as he made for the door.

"Wait!" The man said. "I have something for you before you go!" He shuffled through his coat and retreived a small orb. "Take this, when the time comes you will know what to do with it.??Also, Take Static with you, He's a little Head Strong, but thats a quality you will need for this quest."

And at those words Spire exited the hut. Rika was waiting outside for him, As was Static.

"What did he say?" Rika asked, her voice a little worried.

"He told me to go to alberta, and that Static would come with us,"

Static turned around at that. "Wait! I'm going to do What!???I know your going to fight the dark one but.. me???Alright then! I'll come with! Who knows when you'll need my Zephy!"
