Sinx have enough stuff as it is when it comes to being powerful, I'm very glad they DON'T have that part too, you should be very happy you totally ignore any mdef something has.

Soul Breaker changed probably, as people use to say you could magic rod the int dmg part of the formula with magic rod...

I have no idea how true that is, but yah you can't magic rod Soul Breaker's int dmg, or magical...or er...gah whatever it is called X_X

-not neutral, not any element at all. only way to reduce is racial reduction

if anything i would say its a physical def-cutting, elementless portion of Sbk.

half of the damage is physical, and is effected by str and dex (min/max atk), but this portion CAN be fleed thus can "miss" and do 0 damage for that portion. This portion's element is the same as your primary hand's weapon. Thus an elemental sword/knife in the main hand or an elemental katar equipped will change the element of this portion.

the other half of the damage is magical and has no specific element to it. This element will NEVER change. This portion is increased by int and dex (min/max matk) and can NEVER miss.


to be noted. Because this skill is half physical and a long range attack means that Pneuma will completely block ANY damage from this. By association anything that provides "ranged def" or "demi-human" def will reduce the damage taken. Thus, Goibne's gear, or a thara frog/beret/poopoo hat/feather beret will reduce the damage.

Actually, you're a bit incorrect there unless they RADICALLY changed the formula from the one I've always known. The physical portion draws from your stats: your attack. That's it.

The magical portion, draws your INT. Your matk is completely pointless as is dex (just the casting time mostly). Since people said my formula was about dead on, I'll assume it hasn't changed. =D

aside from mdef yeah, alexander has remarkable memory Icon_biggrin. which is why i know rhino didnt read the rest of the thread, mr. alexander posted the correct formula awhile ago.

very very common misconception is that magic part of breaker is increased by MATK. it is in fact, NOT. the damage is raised purely by int.

"but matk and int are the same!! lololol"

no -_-. important to note that such things like 10% MATK boost from bazerald dont help soul breaker damage in ANY way, which is why haedonggum is far superior to bazerald as a SBk weapon.

breaker is the only thing in all of RO im not a complete noob about Icon_biggrin.
