Can you even get pets to attack in pvp?

Someone explain why chemists even 'need' pots for a pvp match. Their skills cost such little sp so they aren't going to be running out soon. They heal so much from pots that 2 thrown blue pots is probably going to be a full sp restore. With any decent amount of vit throw white or throw slim white is going to be such a high heal that you only need 2-4 for a full heal.

Just because chemists have an ability which uses potions doesn't mean they should be allowed to use it. They already have a lot of versatility in pvp. Best anti vit, high dmg magic from homunc for those pesky agi, low delay high hp healer, fast movespeed with bloody axe, and they can break your gear. Without pots to heal themselves they lose the ability to tank and can maybe just maybe die before the AD/bolt spam kills you.

Now you might be wondering why heal is ok and throw pot is not. Priests don't have a lot of offensive skills so they need heal to try and tank while they slowly holy light you to death. Monks have a lot of offensive power but not a strong heal so they can't tank with it and can only use it when you're not attacking them. Alchemists have both high dmg attacks and a highly spammable high hp heal. A well geared chemist doesn't need to move. They just heal when you attack and AD spam during your delay.

Pets are definitely not allowed, I thought that it was a given Sweat


Things that I'm leaning towards:
-No healing items of any kind during battle
-Creators can use homunculus but cannot resurrect homunculus
-unlimited gemstones, traps, poison bottles, acid bottles, fire bottles
-no limit on any skills, including their duration
-no cute pets

Need your opinions on:
-Potion skills from chemist, allow or disallow or limit it?
-How many green potions/panacea?
-How many aspd potions?
-Should we allow converters, and how many?
-Should we allow item buffs?
-How long should a battle be?



(Note: if we allow buff food, we'll only allow them to be used in the "pre-buff" period before the battle, so you can't save those for healing purposes and so on.)

for those i would say unlimited/yes to all.

the other 2 are hard to think about XD. but it would make sense to limit chemists pots and stuff. 2-3 minute time limit? =o

5 mins at least. If you can kill in less than thats a bravo, but nobody should be forced to kill in a 2 min delay.

No panacea, green pots I already said how many id like to see.
Same fore aspd potions.
Converters, Id say 1 per fight.
Item buff, 3 of your choice per fight.



Potion skill is not only about tanking for chemist, its also to help their homunculus. We already agreed on no resurection for homuns, I think we should keep the healage...

I would say a Max of 3 Panaceas/Greenpot per battle
Kadar's comment on Chemist Pots gave me a new perspective, i think i'll have to go for No Pots/Healing items whatsoever, even for Chemists.
Converters would be fine Just 1 Per Battle.
Also 1 aspd pot per Battle, maybe 2 Max.
No item Buff, it just doesnt sound right for a Fair PvP battle.
As for the Time, 3 Minutes OR untill the GM thinks it is correct. Like, if a fight looks really close but a little long, the GM/Host can either decide it a Stale Mate and end the match, or extend it a little so they finish.

-How many aspd potions? Two is the absolute most I feel comfortable saying one should have, but One would be more believable, why would you guys need more in a fight, that scared of dispel?

-Should we allow item buffs? I don't really like this idea, so I want to say no to these.

-How long should a battle be? Three Minutes most.

Maybe putting a limit to their skill is a little bit more fair, but my point is. Their skill is nothing more than a fancy way to use a potion, a way that even heals more than using a regular or condensed pot.
just the mere fact that the catalyst for this skill is a Pot itself makes it no different thatn uing one youself. Probably just better as it heals a lot more.
My vote stays for No healing at all. Except for priests. Chemists have enough good stuff as it is.

as for aspd pots, 1 sounds good enough, and even if we had 2 it wouldnt matter as you can just dispell it again Icon_razz

Converters? I don't see why do people actually need them that much. Y say 2 Converters MAX. =)
