Merry Christmas, heROes! Santa needs help sharing joy and love and peace and all with everyone - people and monsters - and he needs your help! Don't kill any (normally) passive monsters - this includes the mobs of aggro monsters such as Angeling - or you'll need to do some extra help to make up for it, though.
Quest
Go to Lutie and north into Santa's house. Agree to help him and agree with his terms. Then check the board to get various missions. Harder missions count for more, but might not be worth your effort. There's also a penalty if you choose a mission and then later decide to get rid of it. Keep in mind that the "don't kill passive monster" rule applies to *all* characters on your account once you've started the quest, as well. You need to accomplish 6 easy, 4 moderate or 2 hard missions without triggering penalty.
Each penalty adds a requirement to accomplish additional missions: 2 easy or 2 moderate or 1 hard.

- Easy: 50 Candy
- Moderate: 30 Piece of Cake
- Hard: 2 Peach Cake (obtained via Cooking)
A Small Present (xmas_dun02 - Toy Factory 2F - This NPC moves and looks like any other Myst Case, but is called 'Present')
- Easy: 100 Red Potion
- Moderate: 30 Panacea
- Hard: 10 Pellet
Bad to the Bone (xmas - Lutie - This NPC moves)
- Easy: 200,000 zeny
- Moderate: 500,000 zeny
- Hard: 1,000,000 zeny
Big Dreams (gonryun 146,113 - Gonryun)
- Easy: 30 Cactus Needle, 1 Cotton Shirt[0]
- Moderate: 30 Broken Needles, 3 Needle Packet, 1 Steel
- Hard: 20 Soft Silk, 10 Skirt of Virgin, 10 Transparent Celestial Robe
(This mission is special in that you get a small reward for completing the Moderate and Hard versions. Completing the Moderate version will net you 10 Santa's Bag, and the Hard version a Super Santa Suit)
Big & Green (gef_fild14 - West Orc Village - This NPC moves, and has a santa hat on its head)
- Easy: 10 Well-baked Cookie
- Moderate: 3 Cookie Bag (Mostly obtained via Rudolph's Nose or a short custom quest in the Prontera Orphanage)
- Hard: 5 of the same type of Pancakes (These may be made after completing the Help Mikhail Quest)
Brotherly Love (gef_dun01 & gef_dun02 - Geffen Dungeon 2&3 - All the involved NPCs move; the main one is festively dressed while the other two are not)
- Easy: No item requirement
- Moderate: 5 Gift Box of the same color, 2 Gold Rings
- Hard: Necklace of Oblivion and Necklace of Wisdom
Catastrophe (neko_isle 151,38 - Neko Island)
- Easy: 50 Trunk
- Moderate: 30 Wooden Heart, 20 Wooden Gnarl
- Hard: 50 Dead Branch, 20 Burnt Tree, 10 Soft Silk
Little elves - Big problems (xmas_dun01 - Toy Factory 1F)
No item requirements on any difficulty. You just need to find the indicated presents: once for Easy, twice for Moderate, and thrice for Hard.
One Cake is not enough (yuno 191,122 - Yuno)
- Easy: 30 Bag of Grain (bought from Chef Assistants in Ayothaya, Louyang, Lutie, or Umbala)
- Moderate: 20 Milk, 10 Cacao
- Hard: 30 Cacao, 20 Holy Water (While the NPC requires you have 20, only 10 are taken)
Poring's Dreams (prt_fild08 - Field South of Prontera - this NPC moves, but has a santa hat to distinguish itself)
- Easy: 50 Apple
- Moderate: 25 Candy Cane
- Hard: 10 Apple Juice, 2 Unripe Apple

- Easy: 50 Green Herb
- Moderate: 25 Candy Cane
- Hard: 10 Green Bijou
Wondering Goblin (prt_fild11 - Prontera Field w/ goblins - this NPC moves, but has a santa hat to distinguish itself)
- Easy: 50 Meat, 25 Potato, 10 Pumpkin
- Moderate: 50 Aloe Leaflet, 10 Blue Herb, 10 Bread
- Hard: 20 Chocolate, 20 Fresh Fish, 10 Red Prickly Fruit
Naturally, some missions are easier than others, particularly depending on what you already have available and are willing to use or hunt up. For example, for the heRO on a budget, Little elves - Big problems is definitely worth a look, while Bad to the Bone should be avoided.
Once you've completed enough missions, check the board and you won't be able to get any more. Assuming this isn't because you've incurred Santa's wrath for killing passive monsters, talk to Santa again and claim your rewards! (or your scolding should you have killed passive monsters. Seriously, try to avoid doing that, despite how easy it may be to misclick)
