Malangdo Island has recently been the target of a series of nighttime thefts and attacks. Find out who or what is behind all of this!

Steps

1. The quest starts inside the ship at the center of Malangdo. If you don't have Malangdo Town's warp saved, you can get a warp from Marc in Prontera, near the DB NPC. (/navi prontera 146/187)
   Note: If you do talk to Marc and tell him you won't help, he'll ask again. If you insist on not helping, Marc will threaten with telling everyone you didn't help some defenseless cats and you will lose 3 Lutia, Faeheim, Orc and Poring Rep points (3 of each).
   
   
2. Agree to help Kitschy inside the big ship at Malangdo, at the room to the right at the end of the hallway (/navi mal_in02 136/90), and he will ask you to visit an orc couple outside the ship.
   
   
3. The orcs are located north of the central ship (/navi malangdo 178/201). Talk to either Orc, and they'll ask you to find a cat who was supposed to be exploring the octopus cave.
   
   
4. The cat is just outside the instance dungeon (/navi mal_dun01 146/224). Once you talk to the cat outside the Octopus Cave, you will be asked to visit a scientist.
   
   
5. The scientist is in a building at the southwest part of town (/navi malangdo 136/114). Talk to the cat scientist named Nyanderson inside the building. Once he finishes talking, talk to him again and he will ask you to find someone who was attacked that kept ink. He will also ask you to bring 15 Squid Ink (item id 1024).
   
   
6. Find a cat sailor in the east part of town and he will give you a flask of squid ink from his attacker (not an actual item). (/navi malangdo 234/129).
   
   
7. Return to Nyanderson's house but he will not be there. Enter the warp leading below to receive a prompt. The cat scientist will scold you and you will be warped back to the main room.
   
   
8. Talk to Nyanderson with the 15 Squid Ink in your inventory and he will thank you.
   
   
9. Return to Kitschy at the big ship, who at this point has carried on with his work and is no longer in his original location. He is in the first room to the right down the stairs from the ship's entrance (/navi mal_in02 62/68). Kitschy asks you to visit the orcs.
   
   
10. The Orcs have also carried on with their lives and moved from their original location, and are on the northwest side of the mainland (/navi malangdo 125/196). After talking to the orcs, they ask you to return to the cat scientist's house.
    
    
11. Once inside, talk to the orcs, who will exit the house. After this point, once you exit the building, you will enter an event map and your save point will be changed. You must work together with other questers to defeat an MVP and proceed with the quest. Storage, Heal, Tool Dealer and Repair services will be available on the map, and the orcs will also wander the map and occasionally buff players.
    
    
12. Once the MVP has been defeated, everyone on map will be warped back to the house from where you came. At this point you will be asked to bring 3 Anodyne (ID 605) and 3 Yggdrasil Dust (ID 12815).
    
    
13. Once you bring the items, the quest will be completed, and you will be able to choose one of the following rewards:
    
    • Costume Evil Druid Hat (Different from Requiem Hat)
      
    • Past Halloween Hat Box (Contains 1x headgear from past Halloween Quests)
      

    You will also obtain 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, or 50% Base Exp depending on your level, and 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, or 100% Job Exp depending on your level (Percentages not fully confirmed). If you have obtained Orc Reputation points from past seasonal quests or the Travelling Orcs quest, you will also obtain 2 Old Green Boxes.
    

    Additionally, if you are Lv 99 or Job Lv 70 you will get 1 Damp Card album, but if you are Lv 99 AND Lv 70 you will get 1 hat voucher.
