The Item of the Day quest is a repeatable EXP quest specific to heRO. Speak to any Healer NPC (there is one in every town), and choose the option "Help with what?". Note that this option will only be available if you have not already hit the limit on the quest for the day, and if the War of Emperium is not active.

She will tell you that she is in need of certain supplies, which changes on a day-to-day basis (see the list below). You may turn in up to 3 sets of items to the Healer per day. For each set you turn in, she will give you a choice between receiving: 

1. Base EXP
2. Base+Job EXP
3. Job EXP

So be careful about spamming the enter key!


You will be asked for different items depending on which day of the month it is. So for example, on the 9th day of each month, you will be asked for 23 Frills. The items for each day are as followed:

01 Brigan 7054 25 50 75 Injustice also drops item for the very next day. Raydric and Stalactic Golem are 2 other old leveling spots. Aliza at Kiel's Robot Factory double as a source for Hatter items.
02 Cyfar 7053 25 50 75 Wild Rose at Neko Island is easiest. Injustice and Shinobi deserves mentioning since they also drop items used on other days.
03 Spoiled Snacks 8123 10 20 30 Hunt Haunted Cookie, Snow Lude, Haunted Teddy Bear in Haunted Toy Factory
04 Powder of Butterfly 924 25 50 75 Creamies are the primary source of this which are abundant either at Britoniah (gef_fild13), southwest of Geffen or at Prontera Field 4 (prt_fild04), two maps west of Prontera. Players can quickly travel to Britoniah by warping to any Geffen castle. Creamy Fears in fae_fild10 can be considered as well as both its slaves are Creamies which drops the item as well.
05 Red Herb 507 50 100 150 Lot of monsters drop it, so just be sure to keep collecting them as you play the game. Handmaid Lif doubles as a source for Hatter item's Straw Basket, while Archer Skeleton and Soldier Skeleton also drops Skel-Bone also used for Hatter.
06 Single Horned Helmet 6324 15 30 45 One-Horned Scaraba in Scaraba Hole is the only source. See List of Available Dungeons#Scaraba Hole on how to access it.
07 Horseshoe 944 15 30 45 Mobbing Nightmares in Geffen Dungeon 02 and 03 is the easiest way.
08 Lantern 1041 20 40 60 Skeleton Worker in bottom of Mjolnir Pits is best source.
09 Frill 1012 20 40 60 Frilldoras at cmd_fild05 which is 4 maps east of Comodo.
10 Solid Peach 7164 15 30 45 Enchanted Peach Tree on first floor of Gonryun Dungeon is the only source, but it's easy to go back to healer to fuel up and resume the hunt.
11 Rotten Meat 7564 20 40 60 Roween is most abundant on ra_fild04. The fastest access to this map is to go to Ice Caverns, then exit one map south.
12 Nine Tails 1022 15 30 45 Payon Forest pay_fild11 (Eddga's spawn map) has the most Nine Tails, but map can be mobby. You can reach here from Payon, then go 2 south then 1 west.
13 Dust Polluant 7320 10 20 30 Einbech dungeon 1 has Venomous and Noxious who drop this item.
14 Slingshot 7195 15 30 45 Umbala Dungeon 1 has Wootan Shooter who drops this item.
15 Anolian Skin 7003 15 30 45 Anolians can be found at Zenhai Marsh (cmd_fild03, 3 maps east of Comodo). For easier but less mobby source, Alligator also has this item at lower drop rate.
16 Antelope Horn 7106 15 30 45 Goats at ein_fild08 (2 maps south of Yuno) are the most popular target to obtain this item as Goats drop Red Herbs and Yellow Herbs used on other days as well.. Heidrun also has this item.
17 Folding Fan of Cat Ghost 7266 15 30 45 Louyang Dungeon 3 is the only map that spawn Mao Guai, the sole source of the item.
18 Yellow Herb 608 40 80 120 Lot of monsters drop it, so just be sure to keep collecting them as you play the game. Garden Keeper and Goat double as a source for Red Herb on another day, while Sandgrass just north of Fortuna is the easiest source while being close to a town.
19 Striped Sock 7219 10 20 30 Drops from Loli Ruri. Only map that naturally spawns it is the field located west of Nifflheim.
20 Peco Peco Feather 7101 15 30 45 Farming Grand Pecos at the Kiel Khayr's Academy map (yuno_fild08) is the most efficient way of obtaining this item.
21 Silver Feather 8121 15 30 45 Chill Wind is the most reliant source though Silver Filir and Silver Filir Chick have them as well. Chill Wind is located 1 south then 1 east from Crystal Shore.
22 Broken Shuriken 7156 10 20 30 Shinobis are found at the 3rd level of the Amatsu Dungeon. Do note that they do not respawn instantly but has a range of 10 - 151 mins.
23 Scale Shell 936 15 30 45 Drops from Isis which can be found on the 4th level of the Morroc Pyramid.
24 Plant Tentacle 6259 20 40 60 Lutian Sunflower is the more consistent source. They can be found in abundance one east of Lutie.
25 Shining Scale 954 20 40 60 One south of Veins has a map with abundant of Side Winders, which is the easiest source.
26 Needle of Alarm 1095 15 30 45 Clock Tower in Aldebaran floor 2 and 3 have Clocks and Alarms which drop this item.
27 Tail of Steel Scorpion 7010 15 30 45 One map south of Marasmius in Faeheim Archipelago has Iron Fist which is the sole source of this item. Iron Fist is also a daily Faeheim Bounty Hunts in Marasmius so be sure to pick that up as you kill Iron Fist.
28 Ogre Tooth 7002 15 30 45 High Orc drops this item. High Orc can be found in High Orc Village. Exit the Orc Dungeon, then head west.
