I wanted to make a mini-thread of my own. I want to practice on my writing, so as a challenge, I will write poems based on the histories of the monsters of ragnarok! My first one is Munak's poem for Bongun, if you're unfamiliar with the story, [click this link].

I'm not even sure if I'll do a lot of these, but I'll make a point where I at least make a poem every week. Criticism allowed and welcome!

M U N A K

In the days of our nations prime
To be born in an age not our time
Although we were destined to hear the wedding bells chime
We were also destined to be amongst the grime

For in that short moment of glee
Who knew that our love was never to be?
For the day came that you would leave me
No matter how much, you would never listen to my plea

In the bliss that was our love, I failed to see
The wrath of a god, we fight or we flee
For years of neglect, he demanded a fee
We pay with our souls, no choice but to agree

And so the god raised the dead, and claimed a thousand lives
We lost so many- our children, husbands and wives
They ravaged, frightened, and hands cut like knives
Ordered to kill, that not one survives

In that cave, you fought with all of your might
So that I, who you loved, could get through the night
To awaken, to see a day’s new light
Even if it risked not having you by my side

I pray, wherever you are, remember me
Know that I’m always here, I will never flee
Without you, I fail to see the world’s beauty
Without you, to live, I am simply not worthy

S O M E T H I N G

Once a woman loved a man,
oh how happy it was.
Blissful summer, spring, she couldn't wait,
to have her first taste of true love.

But as fate would have it,
it was not meant to be.
For the man loved the woman,
but he couldn't break free.

From a curse, he suffered,
what he thought an incurable disease.
"I do love you, yes that's true,
but you'll never be happy with me."

But the girl didn't waver and waited,
For the love inside her created,
a strong need for his love, still unstated.
Oh how, this feeling, she hated.

So she waited for years and years went by,
until the moment came to say goodbye.
And she couldn't do anything, not even cry,
For that woman inside her had already died.

The man could never say it, not even once.
Of how much he loved her, or gave her the chance.
To start what she longed for, true romance.
It ended, before it even began.

L A D Y T A N E E

I'm a sight to see, I'm a real lady,
I really do have quite a flair.
When men see, they almost go blind,
they just can't help but stare.

I'll seduce you, and I will love you,
and I will fill you up with despair.
You'll crumble to dust, you'll stay there and rot,
by the end of our affair.

Don't force yourself that you think it's your duty to post constantly. Your love to create stuff will turn to hate so watch out. BE FREE! FREE AS WHAT A POET/ARTIST SHOULD BE! (^@_@)^

Didn't know the story of Munak and Bongun, so sad.

I think Sohee's jealous of Munak because of her relationship with bongun. Hyegun adds another point in that love triangle.
